Day 1: Dhonne Biriyani & Chamundi Hills
Our Mysuru experience kicked off with a feast of the famous Mysuru special Dhonne Biriyani , known for its fragrant rice and succulent meat, served on a banana leaf. It was the perfect introduction to the city’s rich culinary heritage.
In the evening, we visited Chamundi Hills , a must-see for anyone coming to Mysuru. The temple at the hilltop, dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, offers not only spiritual vibes but also breathtaking views of the city below.
Mysore Palace: Night Light Show
As night fell, we headed to the Mysore Palace for its renowned night light show. The palace, adorned with thousands of lights, glowed magnificently, making it a surreal experience. Return Journey: Mysuru to Coimbatore
On our return journey to Coimbatore, we took the Gundlupet-Sathyamangalam Forest route. This stretch, especially near Gundlupet, was a feast for the eyes, with vast fields of Jamanthi flowers and sunflower farms blooming under the clear skies. The bright yellows and oranges of the flowers stretched out endlessly, creating a vibrant patchwork of color. It’s worth stopping to take in the beauty, click a few pictures, and appreciate the simple yet striking charm of these farms.
The drive back through the forested Sathyamangalam hills was
